Saw this thread over at edmw. Many cyberbullies in the thread as usual siding with the parents over the kid. Parents made the choice to have sex and give birth to the kid, so they should be responsible and support the child's development so that the child can lead an independent life.

Cos you say he further his studies is to gain knowledge and not to advance in career mah so I assume he's enlightened

Most of the ppl I know who pursued further studies is to advance in career, just to one up the countless degree holders

If a person's job is also their passion/interest, it's a career. Otherwise, it's just a job. Most people don't have careers. Perhaps making money is their interest so every good paying high position job is their career.
