"the rich are humji, the poor are humji, married ones humji....... unmarried women also humji", even for this group, there's those outliers and those that care about change. like married ones but still tulan about policies

the poor want their vouchers and grants u know those live in 1 room flats and stuff. today just went to a shop, saw a typical uh hm u know family, the m ah beng just say - whenever i get voucher i sure visit to buy blah blah

basically these people little to no education just like to pop pop pop babies and some of them are regulars to jails, or even if not, work in grab and stuff. the educated ones wont talk like that......... most of them generally tiam tiam unless u make them super tulan like the PMD

and some of the rich are those affected by things that happen to them, like kena fined, trees falling on their house, stuff impounded, or nv give them vouchers u know what i mean

still, these are the 30-35% usually swing voters who 99.999% of the time dont care abt what happens to politics or parliament stuff but get it off the vine, gossips newspapers or just totally dont care

oppo has a fixed 25% supporters or less while PAP has 40% by default supporters or more.

it's always for PAP to lose rather than anything

the above are purely my observations interacting with friends, colleagues, strangers, people online and offline

Hunger strike
In 1993, a few months after Chee joined the SDP, he was dismissed from NUS by the Head of the Psychology Department, S. Vasoo, who was also a PAP MP at the time, for allegedly using research funds to send his wife's doctoral thesis to the United States and making false transport claims. Chee denied that he had misused university funds and claimed that he was the victim of a political vendetta.[3] On 5 April, Chee staged a hunger strike to protest his sacking.[4] On the second day of his hunger strike, Chee was advised by a doctor, who was checking on his health daily, to consume glucose water instead of just water which Chee did.[5] On 14 April, the tenth day of the hunger strike, Chee ended his hunger strike.[6]

Although Chiam initially backed Chee, he became critical of Chee's hunger strike and his public comments condemning the PAP for his dismissal from NUS.[7] Chiam wanted to censure Chee for his comments, but the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) backed Chee. Chiam then resigned as secretary-general of the party. Chee, as the assistant secretary-general, then became the party's acting secretary-general and was subsequently elected as secretary-general in 1993.[8]

After Chiam publicly criticised the CEC, they attempted to expel him from the party—an act which would have forced him to vacate his seat in Parliament—but Chiam won a court case to prevent them from doing so on procedural grounds.[9] Chiam remained an SDP member and MP until shortly before the 1997 general election, when he left to join the Singapore People's Party, a party founded in 1994 by ex-SDP members who supported him.[10]

only when we are older we read online etc and realised the whole SDP CEC disagreed with CST and sided CSJ. and CST is the one acting more like a PAP lite.

and CST had no succession plan and was not doing enough to expand, he passed the baton to his wife (whom I believe is a nurse). everyone told him to pass the baton to Benjamin Pwee (who left politics). i think this definitely includes people in potong pasir


tbh CST sure got 1 tonne of problems thats why no one backed him, but they turn the story into CSJ do many shit things to him to kick him out

not saying CSJ is always right but he got smeared so many times in his life like me - no one will hear his side of the story

if im CSJ i will need to think really hard whether i still want to be in politics. he wasted his entire life on politics liao... if he got in this time round as NCMP it's not as good as full MP
