Shops that closed:
The halal stir fried Cai tao Kueh and char Kueh teow, grill wings and satay stall.

Halal chicken rice stall.

Ayam penyet stall

Loklok stall

Caipng stall x1

Bread stall

Some Taiwan dish and bbt stall

And a few stalls on the opposite side. Grrrr must be the rental.





Sidenote:
My rivervale plaza long time watch and clock shop, closing down end of this mth. I look for them to change batteries and top up singtel prepaid card. Their shop is halved the normal size small shop. So it's even narrower. Usually I didn't see any customers. Out of curiosity I ask them the rental. She say as of now it's approaching $5k rental. If they renew the contract. It's gonna be $6k rental. Space so small.

They say they going to retire. I think it's a good move.

I think the co-sharing shop at the side selling curtain also buay tong soon. Never see customers before.

I really shudder to think how many more empty stalls and quiet mall shopfronts we will see if this high rental and low spending power continue.

pap really need to cut down on their greed and this thirst to push for max profits in every thing. first thing they can do is to clean house and cut down on how much they are spending on the bloated civil service!

They will say not rental, price of ingredients and everything else is to blame!! Mkt forces, global issues, not their fault etc!
Recently they have this campaign or app to crowd share cheap food in sg right. What a joke. Affordable food has become a scarcity!!

I won't be surprised they will start blaming US, the citizens, for "not eatting out often enough" as a BS excuse.    

If the hawker food prices have raised to a point that if one finds a value meal from fast food restaurant is cheaper than hawker food, something is seriously wrong already.

Oh no. Jialat only the signboard left. I didn't take a closer look but yes the stall never open, just signboard there.
