i met a lot of hypocrites including a chio bu nurse at a clinic... she told my mum to believe in buddhism.

she is young (just older maybe 3-5 yrs than me at that time)

chio, married, boss is good and pay is relatively good or ok for sure. life is good for her. pop 2 kids out liao tell me marriage is just normal, no need to clamour for love or riches

Like someone who worked and slogged all his life to be a billionaire but gave up on his loves and forget to enjoy life.  As he retires, he advises the young not to relentlessly pursue wealth.

Is that hypocrisy?  Unless he is saying that to prevent competitors from rising

motive wise i just feel such people have so much easier life and are not even content themselves. the maslow hierarchy of needs

when they got money looks and family they suddenly feel lost and yearn for spiritual excellence. but then u tell them to give up their money looks and family in exchange for what spritual well being

Hard to say.  I actually know a business owner who gave up everything to be a monk.  But only one such person.  Not sure how he did it but he went to Taiwan and joined a monastery

I worked in a hospital and met dying people and many have their regrets.  Never once did they ever say they wished they had more money.  One of them even told me to stop wasting time and get my degree in nursing cos time will fly
