When i was warded recently, got quite afew nurses from myanmar.
Got one burmese syt nurse that time on duty at my ward.

I was in the wards and emergency department years ago.  Now I am in a specialised area so can't really comment on current ward manpower make up.  I do have an idea la but I am not based there Liao.  But still in nursing

I had a talk with some of them recently and some were rushing to Australia.  Cos it's harder for them to get PR after the coup and without PR and eventually citizenship, they worry they may be forced to return to Myanmar where they might get arrested.

I won't say they are Syt la.  They are probably young.  Most young nurses are syt

Disclaimer - if I share stories, they are generally fake.  Fake in the sense that something like this happened but I change a lot of details so you cannot look and say hey I was talking about this case.  Confidentially still needed lol

Been in the wards, operating theatre, and emergency side plus went into teaching and management for a while.  So ask my things you are curious about.

are doctors generally very busy? i know of this doc in a JB hospital. she seldom chats on her phone.

i suspect that she did not have much opportunity to date when she was in med school and now when she is a doc, i think for about six years already.

is it quite common for most doctors cos of their intense studies and work?

Yes. Medical students and junior doctors are super busy cos of the studies and hours.  Once they are at higher level like registrar and above, it's better.  Of cos those who go and become GP also have good hours but again, GP are not junior doctors
