IMO it's not double standard. Double standard is when two people have EXACTLY same circumstances and defence but one is judged differently or prosecutor behave differently.

Maybe the female lawyer has an unfair advantage but that's it.

The one where I believe there is double standard is the Parti Liyani case.  That one really a lot of people dropped the ball or practiced double standards

So far no other biker do this stunt except this aunty lawyer.

If that happens again, then we got reference case.

Ok maybe not double standard cos no precedent, preferential treatment then.

Is like got future nus peeping to vs normal peeping to. That i think can safely call double standarss I think

Ah yes the NUS one.  The reasoning is odd.  But I was thinking of the maid case cos it's not only odd, it's super odd until I think another judge overturn the conviction

one is someone using a lorry to hit a cyclist and one is using the body to hit a car.

Different situation.  I did cheer the lorry driver but someone told me the sentence was justified.

Now, this case is different cos it's using the body to hit the car.  The question now is are there any other cases where maybe a poor cyclist or pedestrian hit a car and ended up jailed instead?  If so then double standards

Just need the prosecutor to do the right, stand by the victim not the one tat provoke. What caused the victims to react like tat. The lorry driver was provoked. If not provoked, won't get angry. Ofc got to be like the lady car driver can keep it cool. Pretty sure she will be scared of aggressive cyclist like the mental lawyer. Hope one day none of us Kenna the aggressive cyclist for road rage

moi think if gotch hire lawyer will get lesser punishment as laywer can talk for chiu in court. lawyer have training, talk in court know which one can say which one cannot say..

if ownself fight in court may end up make things worse as dun know rule dun know what are the mitigating factors and procedure and irritate judge.

so judge will just give out punishment accordingly. have laywer will usually lesser punishment

Yes for herself, getting sympathy votes. But sad to see the prosecutor so lenient on her side. Not with the lady car driver. Anyone one day will be the lady car driver.
