本报从多名基层义工和消息人士探知，目前大选筹备工作进度，是假定5月3日是投票日来进行，而且一些原本安排在5月3日的社区活动也被通知要取消。
　　
不便透露名字的基层义工说："我们听到的消息是，国会不是4月15日就是16日解散，下周是提明日，然后5月3日投票日的可能性很高，总之就是宜早不宜迟。"
　　
另一名基层则说，5月1日星期四是劳动节假期，听闻许多居民5月2日请假且订了机票，从5月1日到4日出国玩。"其实5月9日选也是一样，同样也是拿一天假期可以休息四天，因为5月12日是卫塞节假日。"

Does it really matter?  To be a citizen here u need to have stayed here for a very long time Liao.  Think about 10 years from entry to PR to citizenship to election day?

If after 10 years after u come in u still feel grateful to PAP, then PAP must be doing something right?

Vs how many true blue sinkies?  Or easier to blame new citizens since there is no poll saying who is more likely to vote for incumbent?  Cos if cannot blame new citizens then the blame will fall on us average Singaporeans?
