Quote from: Philipkee on Jan 25, 2025, 11:55 AMI think you should never scold anyone unless there is some form of danger in the other person's life or your life (maybe driving recklessly).  After all, all are adults.

IMHO, scolding is a way of asserting moral superiority over another person.  Talking nicely is ok

If talk nicely and the other person still never changes or ignores, then two options.

Either learn to ignore it / accept it or if it's so big, never talk to that person again

Of cos this refer to BGR la. If your subordinate or kid or student is like that it's a different issue

Hmm

Cos no one will match perfectly blah blah blah.  Trying to change a person usually won't work or it can work temporarily but there will be unhappiness.

That is why when I read of stories of girls who marry guys hoping to change them after marriage, usually it doesn't turn out well.  Here I am talking about 180 degree change la.  Some minor changes and adaption are to be expected but to expect let's say an alcoholic to become a teetotaler is a bit too much but maybe become a social drinker still can try

But of cos la, if it's dangerous like taking drugs or racing in car then different la

If both parties in a rs don't even want to adapt or mk the changes to learn how to accept
N compromise n change to make things work well between them
Then really best remain fren or bgr good enuf
Don't ever marry cos like that is cannot go far and can't grow tgt

I think being in a rs alws forces both to grow and mature n see from other human's paradigm n pov
This is what experience/ encounter / trial that ppl who r single will somehow be in lack of ... or need not be trained or molded on

Depends.

If the change is a preference one, like eat durians or don't durians, probably cannot change

If it's a moral one, love stealing to stop stealing, then yes I agree with you

Someone shared that actually compromise is a bad word.

There are a few ways of winning any argument or adapting

Win - win
Win - lose
Lose - lose

Compromise is actually lose - lose.

Win - lose means someone asserted dominance

Win - win is the best but I can't remember the term for it if there was one.

It was a talk on 7 habits of highly successful people and one of the habits is think win-win

For context I am referring to BGR, relationship between spouses and friends and colleagues

Don't say parent to child or superior to subordinate etc etc

U wish u know the girl early early tell u why rub clit instead of rub the cave n hole make the girl wet faster.

Yah also she point out to u where her clit is instead of u fumbling up down left right all over the cave to find it.

Also fingering without the right technique doesn't really make the climax faster than clit rubbing.

In a lkk wisdom I feel compromise is win win at the same time lose lose

Win win means both can work tgt more collaboratively

Lose lose means both nv fully get wha they want as each / individually

But they do get a bit of what both wanted : common goal

I think moral ones usually lesser need for argument
Most arguments between ppl r those that r toothpaste squeeze front end
Back end
Any part of toothpaste

Or how to spend 1 day leave
Or how to spend 1k from budget surplus
Those sort of no right no wrong answers but depends on who is looking at it
And usu both hv valid reasons

Then I feel it depends on how impt is something to someone

Win win- I get something you get something and conflict is resolved and everyone is happy

Lose lose - I give up something u give up something conflict is resolved but happiness might not be as high as win win
