I know a friend who works in one of the museums in City Hall area, really jialat there. People just leeching the benefits (visits to overseas museums, childcare leave, parentcare leave, mental health leave...) and KPIs not met...

Depends bah, if ministry or impt agency then I believe will be hectic

Those lesser agencies will be slack loh. I know a couple working in wsg and hpb, they like very slack also but they not haolian kind

I have a fren working at national heritage board....sounds very slack too from what I read about his job on linkedin

Another one from cpf. DD liao but still very hands on, go roadshow give talks and help out

But cs hiring process still very elitist

For past few yrs, I applied for low rank position in lesser agencies also tio hiam

Maybe can only blame myself for flunking the interview....they did grant me an interview afterall

I guess if work at Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be quite siong. But these sld be considered first-tier gov agencies, so the pay and bonus are higher I think.

My father was in cs for nearly 40 yrs

He say cs benefits not gd in the past, only iron ricebowl and family insurance that's all. Private sector was booming back then in sg and globally

Only late 90s onwards when gov intro scholar scheme and our ministers are paid millions then cs become more competitive. Things changed for the worse and my father resigned and had a early retirement cos he tak boleh tahan how things work. Many snobbish young scholars joined and act smart

I'm not defending my father just becos he's my father but he is usually very low key and easy going. For him to so call rage quit and badmouth ppl, I will believe his stories

Yes. Leeching sinkies money and KPI is not sinkies well-being but how to milk
sinkies of their hard earned money to spend. Building Airport T5 or memorial r just
some of the examples. Build for who? Did sinkies ask for them?
