The minimum qualifying salary for Employment Pass applicants will go up from S$5,000 to S$5,600 from next year.

SINGAPORE: The minimum monthly qualifying salary for new Employment Pass (EP) applicants will increase to S$5,600 (US$4,200) from next year, up from S$5,000 currently.

Those working in the financial services sector, which has "higher wage norms", will have to earn a minimum of S$6,200 a month, up from the current threshold of S$5,500.


For EP renewal applications, the new qualifying salary will take effect a year later, on Jan 1, 2026, Manpower Minister Tan See Leng announced on Monday (Mar 4).

i do know of ppl who cannot get renewed cos of job grade pay range and got pwned

as to whether it will help local i duno, seems like hire a cheaper and younger FT instead so that the pay range wont exceed the budget lols

on paper pay u 6k. den payday the employee need payback to employer

it does not resolve the issue at all as quota for passes only applies to work permit (wp) and not employment passes (ep). thus it's not surprising to see a company that's full of foreign trash.
