Is notice period negotiable?

99% ask u sit there shred paper niah.

Why? Cos if u fuck it up for the next person, he would have more shit to handle as compared to having done it right by himself during yr notice period.

Sorry hor. I not high level. Just a senior agm position doing sai gang cos I never refuse the boss.

I actually left that time my pet project is 75% near completion.

Kana arrow to take over one kept msg and ask me for help during my notice period, I kept ask him u sure anot. I don't mind helping u, but u sure anot 1st cos if u fuck up u dunno where and how u fuck it up. And also big boss want me to continue help u anot.

Lppl one no 1 dare to ask me do, even my former boss also scared ask me continue help the new guy complete the project.

Anyway. Just my experience.

For others maybe lppl suck thumb etc serve notice go office like zombie sit there stare at the air and wait for time go makan go home clock in clock out.

Literally pointless for boss and for employee if this type of notice period insisted to serve.

All notice period can talk out one.

1st job 3 months period notice.
Got 2nd job start ASAP, I cham siong my 1st boss let go no need pay me no need notice.

2nd job 6 months notice period. No gardening leave thou. Quit and cham siong 2nd boss for 30days handover, say starting new job 2months time.

Even though my 3rd job starting after 6 months later. Took a nice 6 months break then worked 15 years for the 3rd boss before I quit

Last one very dulan with me. Ask me why quit out of the blue I say i hiv+ left 6 months to live le. Not going to die in office for him. Want spend finish my money. Knn he found out my real reason he damn dulan with me actually

if it is pointless then it will not be in the contract, they can use the mom standard, huai they bother?

throughout moi jod/career. moi never even seen the chairman. only certain people get to attend the board meaning and get the chan to see the chairman.

moi wont believe a single word chiu said.

chiu seem to encourage ppl to just take the jod without consideration for notice period coz chiu never need to serve it or nose need to compensate the kompany.

moi dunno wat kompany chiu work for before but moi have personally served 2 mths notice period and never get the manager / boss to tell me leave nao or earlier.

also moi have heard of ppl paying compensation to kompany to leave ealier, or pay deducted and  there is also the practice that the new kompnay will pay the notice period if they wan the staff earlier.

of coz it depend on what type of jod. low level, mid level high level. the higher level the position the moar important the notice period is.+-

moi will stop responding to chiur leeplys in this thread and end with .. it's better to protect chiurself then to open chiurself to all these risks.
