No such thing as destined la but u must understand everywhr will have its own set of problems.

Like the super rich people, some of them worry why cant they get limited edt ferrari or buy over a company. Its a big deal to them.

To us, how is this even an issue if u alr got say 100m?

U can try applying govt but govt also got people slamming them. Everywhr got different shit and detractors/naysayers.

End of the day u got to decide for yourself because u seem to not like many workplaces


For myself i changed many jobs. But there were 2-3 places i felt generally ok or stayable.

My current place i get along well with most people and i can say they like me. But in terms of progression they are not giving me growth in long term. I solve issues and clear their shit but they dont see me in their plan or long term and prefer to promote younger people coz i joined late. And i dont suck up to bosses enough and i try to work out a win win situation with another dept or vendor but they want someone evil and inscrupulous just getting their work done and in best interests only for boss and dept

Pay is way better than last time, but to many its just avg pay.

Sometimes u got to recalibrate ur thinking.

Otherwise say i pay u 6k or 8k now, u got a lot more workload and OT but got chance to progress, but u need to deal with a lot of politics and careful of backstabbing... everyday u go work or meeting very scared

But u will also come kaopeh and feel vexed in either situations say few mths or 1 yr from now

The first one u will be super vexed and scared and stressed.

Second one u will be pissed coz no prospects. Short term wise u will be happier coz i rem u want a better environment and i assume 5k per mth is slightly better than ur current. But down the road say 2 or 3 yrs u will be happy with 2-3% increment for govt?

At ur age i tell u ur pay will be around 4k to 4k ish for govt

there's no how. u will most likely be in this situation until u meet ur 贵人 ,  or suddenly become very smart and work very hard and impress boss/client, or u manage to suck up to someone or change your thinking positively to make the best out of every situation... 以平常心对待问题 and try to reframe your mind. it's not easy.

or u start ur own biz and do well in it

i dish such advice but i also get caught up in my own situations because i feel unfairly treated here while i clear their shits

to them i nv try hard enough or impress, or think from purely their own interests.

for me, i try to do things to create a win win situation and resolve the issue, hence they dont rly like me for that but dont rly hate me for that. their POV is just to get the job done in the least amount of time possible and try all ways to squeeze other people and just want something cheap fast and good

u know my predecessor, they pulled resources and people from all parts of dept to give him and he got promoted in 3 yrs? coz he's boss's ex colleague? they gave him 8 people. and these 8 people did all the work and all he did was managing and being guailan to everyone and other depts

when i took over they tore my portfolio apart and gave me only 2 people....... so now im managing a team but in name only.  one of the lady is doing higher level stuff that the boss doesnt want me to touch, coz the boss afraid the lady is angry. but she is quite close and is ok to work with me.

but the issue here is, her done work, she gets the accolades and acknowledgement, as did my predecessor (her boss), but now when she accomplishes things, it's becomes not to my credit. i wonder what the fuck am i managing.

they nv give me resources, opportunities or projects but keep on saying u need to do more.

i so tulan until i told my peers, do more what? wash toilet or scrub the floor?

few mths ago i voiced my displeasure to big boss about this. prior to this confrontation, about say 6mths+ ago from nowhere he suddenly nominated me and anyhow gave me a sub-portfolio then nv guide me nv gave me KPI didnt even tell me nor my boss, i was notified in email. in the end this was taken away from me and given to someone else, who has a boss to guide, help and push for things

when i was holding this sub-portfolio, i did what i could, the big boss anyhow appointed me but didnt tell me anything even my direct boss didnt know. then he say i fucked up. i asked others they say i nv fuck up

he didnt use those words but said i could have done more and better but now since it's taken away from me then let it be...... total bullshit. how can i do better when u nv tell me nor my boss what to do and what's the KPI?

of course my boss sar kar + suck up to the big boss lah, for his own interests. dont dare to say these in front of big boss for obvious reasons

then this guy who took over my sub-portfolio left the organization previously and crawled back together with his boss like a dog within 6 mths... 1 yr later redesignate him to be "promoted" without accomplishing anything. how do u feel if u were me?

even if u go govt this will likely be the outcome coz u didnt join immediately

so meanwhile, continue to do the job, learn more stuff and push for stuff, while looking for new job and side hustle, because u must understand not everyone will help u

but once they know ure going to leave, means ure not only not part of the core plan, means they totally write u out of the plan liao. so u have to try to keep it under wraps

if the boss does not want to help u or promote u, even and esp even in civil service, there's little anything u can do to make him think otherwise.

sometimes ure just not part of their plan, the core team to promote

it's the same with CS or private like large corps.

colleagues can think ure good or feel unfair for u, other depts or clients can feel that way. but at the same time u dont know maybe it's u beh kan (in my case), or they rly think u are not too bad.

but they are not ur RO or bosses
