Luckily I don't have much exposure, only about S$19k in US stocks, recently added S$4k to my S$15k.
But still loss is increasing from S$3k plus to S$4k plus.

Sg stocks are given by my mum, DBS, SGX and my RMG share options.

Read in HWZ about people losing S$100k!

How about you guys? What is yr loss and plans in this market downturn?

Unfortunately, I dunno how to play options, if not can buy put options and make money.

Fear index is high. As Warren Buffett says, one should sell when people are greedy and buy when people are fearful.

Think this is a buying opportunity.

A good friend is teaching me options and it actually is handy for current situation..but I'm still hesitant to try.

Anyway, hard to tell if it is bottom now or getting worse in the near future..but if you think those strong stocks are cheap enuff, just slowly accumulate your positions.

9k into cspx. Loss $800 total 11 shares of cspx.

Contemplating to throw in another 6k by Monday, not sure to go vwra or cspx.

Sure I will share whatever I know, but my knowledge quite limited. The experts here, Correct me if I'm wrong.

Both cspx and vwra are Exchange traded fund (ETF).
Normal stock like nvda, u put money in, u just buy one stock.

If u buy ETF, it spreads to many companies to reduce the risk of putting all eggs in one basket, u buy a bit of share of every company.

Cspx tracks S&P 500.
It focuses on US companies, top 500 companies (dunno top in capital size or profits generated)

Vwra is world ETF covers both US and other parts of the earth eg China Euro Viet etc (top 4000 companies). iirc US still takes 60% of that proportion.

Thanks for explaining. I will see if I can buy those on my Poems mobile app.
