I always tell people at the other side. But that side nobody cares what I say anyway.

My grandma is from China. Born in China, lived in China, came over to SG as an adult almost 70 years ago.

She always tell me dont believe China people. She always say, the bad behaviours is flow inside the blood for generations and generations, those chao kuan behaviour cannot be removed. She also say, China is a place too complex, outsiders especially overseas Chinese like us who are not born there will never be able to compete and beat those from China because we are not ruthless, not black hearted, not cunning enough. I think her words make sense after having the opportunity to work with people in management level and is from China.

She even told me 如果你早点告诉我你的上头那里有中国人，我一定阻止你做这份工

my mum last time told me she came over in 1955, if not wrong. im quite sure it's accurate coz shes born in 1943. her classmate still around only 1 yr younger. (means 1944?) she called me during CNY. my mum said her age is fake. i still dunno my mum is 1942 or 1943. but if born in 1942 means same as my dad's age..

actually my mum also dont rly trust/like china coz her aunt died there due to the commie stuff
