The materialistic part also true. Now drive conti sedan not enough flex, must drive conti suv then satki. Stay condo also not gd enough, must own more than 1 property then satki. Travel overseas is too common too, must travel to exotic less travelled countries then satki. And let's not forget about branded watches, handbags and clothes.

it's v different from past eras. the cycle is getting shorter for everything. hard work does not pay off esp with AI and robotics. u got to really smart

Yup, we are the next China, Hong Kong, Japan and S.Korea in terms of stress, small housing, overcrowding, work conditions and overall COL or maybe we are already there but everyone is living in denial

Oh hey, gov say is global issue can't blame them for it, all modern societies are like that. But HDB is 100% under them but they prefer to leave it to mkt forces instead of regulating it. More and more $1mil hdb but still minority. I think as long as $1mil hdb dun exceed 50% of all transactions, it will be considered as minority. Ppl here just trying to find ways to become rich & is not able to be contented since our country is not happy with being stable.
