I have a question that I think is legit even if people think I am dumb 😂. At most I look dumb here

I was in the lift near my block recently and I saw some RC posters on Christmas dinner or something. The posters are slotted in so there is no lock or something.

So my question is, what is stopping a scammer from scanning the poster and then printing it out exactly like the RC poster EXCEPT with a fake QR code? It would be more convincing as opposed to sticking a QR code over the real one as it could be seen (a sticker over the real QR code). Then when you register for let's say a Christmas dinner with MP, you are asked to pay $10 or something and wa la, your credit card details or bank details are out liao

Mean it may be someone's number the scammer use to call you.

I remember my ex IT manager did it before using my number to call other ppl but forget how.

Last time y2k ish I kept getting spoofed emails fwd then I ll diligently reply the spoofed users saying ppl pretend to be u and sending me all this spam

One even became an email penpal for 1-2 years

anyway they just do spoofing  eg caller id show up as chuiur lumber but actual call from where shgold be all logged by the telco
