Sometimes when we talk "bad" about China or India, we are just voicing opinions but HWZ just wants that to be stamped out totally, even if it means banning all members. Even when we can justify and it's not overly unjust opinions saying CCP controls too much. Or that India has caste system issues, villagers scratch each others back and that they do some stuff on the sly....... and corrupted, dirty. All these are truth and opinions even reported in worldwide, or even local media and some of them also admit they can do more to clean their acts up.

But I think the banning of us members is motivated to not talk bad about them nor refer to CECA pact or anything, due to investments by GIC and Temasek - more likely than anything they dont want us to speculate or spoil their deal/jeopardise anything. Heck, i think they might have been requested by Indian authorities to crack down on such negative opinions........ strong-armed into enforcing such laws to ensure we hear and talk only the right things.

Even the Iswaran incident also got people say he helped with some PR application but u see it totally being silenced in the media.

Any bad news abt them, or things govt wants to be hushed then they will ban any discussions or inferences on them, or they will POFMA you if you are an influencer, politician or famous person.

But what I say above is applicable to PRCs and Pinoys, Malaysians too. Only Singaporean Chinese dislike/hate PRC or doesnt feel that aligned to them (im saying most, not all).

In current times, it's better to fight for our own rights and protect ourselves than going to try to fight the govt or foreigners. Our 利益 should be most important...... every man for himself. We shouldnt go target others or try to find ways to get people into trouble, but 防人之心不可无.

You try to fight foreigners, govt or whichever race or religion, end up you get nothing. Maybe get banned but that's the least of your problems. God knows if govt is maintaining a database and there are targeted individuals on their list.

Not trying to sound like Teo En Ming but Im quite sure they already got some of our records as dissidents or people who may cause trouble now and then...... and probably put us on a scale liao....... im not even fear mongering here, if you see what MCI, govtech and Shanmugam been doing, trying to find every single person out there who may not even be close to breaching/breaking laws.......... he's been trying to empower police more and consolidating powers to himself and the authorities with so many laws, motions, policies passed over the past few years.

I just hope we can engage in more intellectual discourse here with a bit of freedom but also to rein ourselves in at times when discussions get heated, but I certainly dont want this place to turn into either extremes. these problems are partly caused by them not listening to public and not handling PR/marketing/communications well or making sure that they integrate with us, instead of telling us to be mindful and to integrate with them


all these were proven in many many experiments in the past, yet they still do not take heed because they view themselves as our leaders rather than as our servants. they go with the idea of "We talk you listen, we take charge and u stfu"

i just feel they need to do more to curb inflation and housing esp and dish out more real help to people
