U must realise this was 40+ yrs ago ok. When mt Vernon was still a crematorium and bidadari cemetery still there and the Christian one stretch all the way til potong pasir there.

And I was skinny slender fit as fuck as a scout always go jio cedar girl guides one.

That time so young really no scare anything one. We used to smoke in the cemetery before go school assembly in morning.

Day time go walk the cemetery can see them there. Though I never go find that pakcik is working there arnot lo.

I remember that stretch of road there got 1 bus stop but bus driver never stop at night one. Got try before after school play bball finish then go cemetery walk and smoke almost 8pm then want go home go to the bus stop there want take bus, cb all the bus never stop for me. End up have to walk back out to the main aljunied road there

Ok as a scout u considered to be student leader so shd not be indulging in bad habit eg smoking etc

Did a few major night walks before

Singapore adventurers club
Marsiling mrt to Mt Faber overnight.  Very tiring.  From Marsiling mrt, walked on the giant water pipes along BKE and then climb Bukit Timah hill before stopping for prata and for people to fall out. Then walk on road to Telok Blangah heights then mt Faber

Another time from Marina Bay to Yishun.  Walked Long orchard road at 0200.  Different world

These two hikes were during my army days about 1999-2000

Once went with a friend from Woodlands mrt to Sentosa.  Overnight

Another time I parked at Changi village and took a bus with a friend to Bedok and then walked back to Changi. It was super long walk I almost thought I will get fined. Cos it was Friday night.  Parking was free at Changi village overnight but I think the coupon parking starts at 0800 on sat morning.  Heng reached the car at 0730

I duno about that adventure club of yours but that time when I was in sec school, there was minimal safety. Iirc, no water parade, no warm up, no safety officer in every team, not everyone has handphone. I'm not complaining thou, I had fun and that was how things were done back then
