In army, commander gives orders to soldiers say I am commander I am in charge you follow orders.  Soldier follows and gets injured or dies.  Commander will come up with 101 legal reasons why it's not his fault

Management- tell employees company is ok.  Work hard and we will pull through.  Employees listen.  Retrenchment happens.  Management actually planned escape route liao.  Employees suck thumb and struggle being unemployed

In both cases, if the soldier and employee had thought of themselves first, they would have been better off but they would have cause chaos in the army or company. But they were thinking higher rank means higher responsibility but at the end of the day, even management or general is think for themselves and not for the organisation and they feel it's right
