My new chaoz Indian (FT) neighbor really lived up to their reputation ..
Noisy, messed up the corridor with their usual non existent hse keeping habit, CB attitude n smelly as shit aroma..
Can arrange bulky delivery items at 11 pm n KPKB for 1 hr.
I jitao opened my door hard hard n abt to gan them 9696 but the security came and gan them first.🤭

The North Indians are the most entitled. I guess cos they see themselves as a higher caste. Even airline crew know that they are one of the worst. Maybe their newfound status (working and living in condo in Singapore) makes them even worse.

Guess they need a couple more years to assimilate into our culture.

The South Indians are better, more reserved and polite. Can be very helpful too. Unfortunately, a lot of them are blue collar workers.

Many of them low key look down on Sinkies and sees Sinkieland only as a stepping stone to their end goal - usually the US or Canada.

I don't think it has to do with caste or anything. Some of my best work friends are Brahmins but they are very humble and believe the purpose of his 'caste' is to serve others. So it's really the upbringing i believe.

i guess the awful and arrogant ones are the louder and more obnoxious ones so they stand out more and give everyone an impression that every north indian is like that.

Don't forget sg also gets a filtered subset of indian migrant FTs. Some 'FT' make the cut by stepping on others and smoking their way through. Some are truely talented and gained respect in their field or company. Maybe that also accounts for the polarization

I do work ok and get along with them fine. But know there are many bad apples also. I guess same for every race la. But their sense of entitlement esp for north indians or those richer, higher caste ones are rly v high

There's nothing one can do about noisy neighbours. It's a big hassle taking them to court and even then the matter may not be solved.

My India Indian colleagues from two different states and different caste do not talk at work unless it's absolutely necessary.
