Anything less than 1/3 opposition in the parliament will still be a pap govt and the opposition can do nothing to stop bills from getting passed. It won't make much of a difference at the national level even if the pap loses another grc. Govt can always add more grc/smcs to dilute the opposition seats percentage.

aiya bro, you remember 2011 GE? such a huge backlash against PAP, people were hostile, ignoring them on the streets when they went around to campaign, got jeers somemore. Pinkly got scared and came out to apologise during a lunchtime rally at Raffles area.

they did slow down the foreigner influx for a while, then back to normal soon after.

for as long as it is the old guards like Pinky and even the 4G guys now, things won't change much.
