Anything less than 1/3 opposition in the parliament will still be a pap govt and the opposition can do nothing to stop bills from getting passed. It won't make much of a difference at the national level even if the pap loses another grc. Govt can always add more grc/smcs to dilute the opposition seats percentage.

i always think that new citizens prob might vote for PAP for the first couple of elections. but cos they don't have any emotional attachment to them, they are more likely also to vote for opps if things don't go well.
they do not have that connection that some of us have with pap, esp the older folks with LKY.
