While tsl keep interrupting, pinky and lw smirking, Speaker seems powerless against own comrade and even towards oppo lol
Whole thing is a joke
LMW really getting punching a lot more above his weight and he is not even an MP!
imagine if we have another 10 more of him in parliament to check on pap.
he makes WP look bad. WP has been resting on their laurels for too long, contented to just be an opposition without pushing hard enough.
though i sometimes wonder if WP is employing a tactic to quietly build up their strength and numbers in parliament before going all out.

WP has a lot more to lose than LMW

singh have court case steel pending :s7:
true also, WP has more to lose. and PS has a pending court case. it is defo not easy for any opposition parties in singapore.
which is why it is important that pap be much less dominant. the rot was already setting in since late 90s, 2000s and will only get worse.
Whole parliament made up of elites and millionaires
Why would they care about peasants
It's like ppl having buffet at 5 star hotel. We dun talk about the poor and starving children in Africa hahha

worse is that with their highly elevated social status, they will of course think of policies that will further entrench their standing and not have policies that will affect them even if it means that it is far.
for example, a lot of rich people have multiple cars, why not have these people pay more for any additional cars?

Rich ppl won't come out with policies that they do not benefit from.
UNDEREMPLOYMENT is a very serious issues in Singapore. Too bad the authority decided to ignore the issues for now.
And the problem when Singaporeans likes to pwn Singaporeans. Witness it first hand unbelievably. It's so bad.

Gov only like to talk about unemployment stats rather than underemployment
Come share some sinkies own sinkies stories
That is why cnt trust whatever pap says even if it is stats.
I think if unemployed more than six months will be removed from stats.
And they dont care if were a pmet previously and they 'find' you a job as a security guard.
Also i think our TFR is worse than even south korea cos we hv a lot of new citizens to help with birth rate.

Showing high Unemployment reflects badly on SG govt. Underemployment is still employment which they don't care about. Even a uni grad working as a cleaner or security guard is a win for sg govt. Can tell approx how many underemployed + unemployed + Retired by looking at GST voucher eligibility. 1.5 million Singapore Citizens were eligible for GSTV last year. Of which 650000 were aged 65 and above also eligible for gstv medisave topup. So it could be approx 950K of underemployed+unemployed+low wage workers.

Else can tell by the number of sinkies paying income tax
Gov ownself say low % of sinkies are paying income tax, so these low % are the rich ppl
Which also means high % of sinkies are low income that's why they dun even need to pay income tax lol

Oppo need to buck up
Psp is like one man show now. All dependent on lmw and he's not young. Tcb already is even less influencial now
Sdp csj also one man show and he's also not as active now thou I dun blame him
WP has been disappointing for the past recent yrs. Overpromise under deliver. Csm and now jamus lim....way overhyped. Then multiple own goals
the opposition climate is really tough in singapore. almost every facet of life here controlled by pap. all the data, stats, press...
i think to an extent, need singaporeans to cast a brave vote for oppositions. WP and the likes of Jamus... they prob are the ones we still have to vote for, despite not doing as well as LMW.
need more oppositions in the parliament before more good candidates are willing and dare to appear.

U try fighting the 80+ MPs & organ of the state. Surely get worn out. That's their tactics. No one should give up since at least 39%-40% combined still voted for other parties & tat is not a small figure.

Oredi quite a big percentage 39% to 40% combined to alternative parties. Now is to capture more GRCs. We need East Coast & West Coast to fall...One by one.

Which speaks of the fact that there are many ppl against pap. They are smart they use the GRC system which still allows them to hold major control.
If it is all smc it will be a different story.

i only hope that if or when the day comes that pap does something really crazy, we will be united enough to stand up for it, even if it means protesting (like the koreans).
and if it happens, the spf and saf won't turn against the people.
peaceful protests happen everywhere around the world every day. even in scandinavian countries.
it is only here that we are cowed into such ridiculous laws. i think it is a travesty and tragic that we do not have an avenue to share our thoughts freely, without any fear of repercussion.
