Thats one of the reasons. U see they can suddenly raise the absd and change new policies at midnight, if u rem what desmond lee did twice recently.

Its a matter whether they want prices to drop or not only. If today say PR cannot buy hdb, or can only buy from hdb and sell back to hdb, cannot make profits, what do u think will happen to prices tomorrow?

Say desmond lee say this ruling will take effect on 1st jan 2025? Coz PRs will try to sell to make whatever profit they have at the moment or before eoy. Hence from sep onwards will have big number of flats from PR waiting to cash in then rebuy from hdb.

U will see prices of hdb plummet immediately.
