as much as i would love to see PAP lose more GRCs

most sinkies worship their hdb and cpf

    

i think a lot of civil servants will vote for PAP. firstly, cos of fear. secondly, i always think that these folks have cushy, recession-proof jobs and usually know very little of what is happening in the private sector.

so they will always think that life is good as long as they get their yearly bonus, go for that holiday and have restaurant meals a few times a month.

then when overseas, they will say that singaporeans so lucky, so good life...

personally, I think if an MP has not benefitted from his position (like getting a cosy job like Tin Pei Ling) and always seen in his ward meeting people and all, esp poor and elderly, and is humble without an entourage following him, then that MP sld be genuine.


My main interaction is with Edward Chia, one of the MPs for holland bukit panjang. He fits the above. Always see him alone at those food distribution events to the poor. Ni airs and if you don't know, you won't even know he is an MP.

That said, I don't think he needs any help from his political position. His family quite rich haha
