If ure a uni grad in 1973 probably got $800 or 1k as pay

Means now starting pay should be 35k, not 3.5k for graduates

Lease left 50 yrs but cost 35x as much

And BTO prices are pegged to national income so PAP says The flats are surely Affordable since we see wages are higher and going up.

Then Desmond Lee say $1mil hdb are outliers and minority. Well, he's not wrong. As long as $1mil hdb dun exceed 50% of transactions is considered as minority. We have wonderful leaders!!!

3 room new flat at my area i asked my colleague who subscribed... she bought at 400k+

how is this considered cheap? in comparison to her salary and most of our salaries?

dont talk about inflation. u inflate so much until ur grads dont earn 35x but your HDB rise 35x? how is that in tandem? your maths fail, LAWRENCE WONG AND DESMOND LEE?

We are talking about starting pay. and back in 1973 while there are less graduates, dont think they earn 1k per month. probably 800 at most (https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/SGP/singapore/gdp-per-capita) per month, probably less. if we put it at $500 only means roughly 19 months or we round up to 20 months for a fresh grad. 3 room last time 10k or less

Dun even need all the stats to know hdb prices going haywire. Public housing my ass.
Last time sole breadwinner with >2 children can support family. Now both parents work also struggling to make ends meet. And I dun think they go on expensive holidays or buy cars.
