A money saga in my friend workplace.

One counter staff suddenly approached my friend few days ago and ask if can borrow $200. My friend initially rejected the person citing many bills to pay etc. then my friend itchy backside and ask her how much she needed. Counter staff say $200, my friend thinks $200 is still manageable so agreed to help her. When my friend agreed, she suddenly raise the amount and say $300 can or not, my friend say no, $200 means $200 and proceed to transfer her the amount. The counter staff says will try to return $100 by end of the month. Then my friend go mc for one day.

When my friend back from mc, my friend own team of collicks immediately ask if counter staff tried borrow money, and cautioned not to lend if approached but too late.
It is later revealed that the counter staff approached almost everyone (30+ staffs total) in the workplace to borrow money.

Some of the people that lend the counter staff:

Within my friend department
Department cleaner who also need money herself - $2000
India technician - $100
My friend $200

Other department
$12-15k from a few people.

HR staff
$14k

Counter own counter colleagues

It is surprising so many staffs willing to give a helping hand and are very generous at helping.
Heard the counter staff son borrow from loan shark and start threatening her. My friend initially hear liao feel bad for her because this is not controllable from her part Unless she cut ties from the son. 

But the counter staff following acts made herself look ugly.

-she had borrowed $2k from the cleaner as mentioned earlier. She then ask the cleaner to pawn the gold necklace she is wearing and lend her the money. What kind of self entitlement she is having to ask someone to pawn their precious jewellery for her sake? very disgusting.

-she tried approach another counter staff (X) to borrow money. When X rejected, and at the same time X brother came along (also working in same co). Counter staff ask X if she can ask her bro if he has money to lend her. X says no again and counter staff still persisted.

- the cash box in the counter lost $2.7k. counter staff usually will re-count very carefully to make sure monies are correct and needs countersign.
That day the person who countersign kena. Never witness count the monies and just sign on the form. In the end each has to pay $1350, deducting from salary. The counter staff thank and say sorry to the countersign staff. Why thank? High chance she stolen it.

-she will usually see the person before trying to borrow. If the person looks Rich or can bully one, she will start off high amount in thousands.
If appear piss poor like my friend. She start off $200.

The most poor thing is the cleaner. Ownself also struggling to get by month by month and still borrowed her $2k.

report this matter to hr and boss warn them be careful she will steal money to pay off loan shark
ask them to check the company money then sack her
