Yah it's yamazaki 55 yr old. $1mil per bottle
Nv had yamazaki but Imo Japanese whiskey esp the popular and expensive ones are hyped up. Ppl speculate it until price go haywire similar to watches and lego

What you also drink whiskey ah?

I prefer hibiki over yamazaki

Last time always hibiki want buy cannot get. Yamazaki alot on displays

I usually get the atb to put ice cube in her mouth then I zhut the warm neat whisky in my mouth then we laji with fluid transfers. This pattern I doing only in sg.

no i dont rly drink, even if drink is very very rarely. but there was a period i sipped spirits/liquor quite a bit but never go very deep into it

Ownself set price loh. Quite a few articles also talking about the sudden popularity of Japanese and Taiwanese whiskey. Sudden hype up, demand can't catch up so price skyrocket. Not say they are not good but too hyped for the price

I also got one period very into it
But now nearly stop drinking liao. Left half a bottle and that's it

After that, probably will get a johnnie walker black or Jim beam black/honey for the occasional sip

Then up prices in 00s, then 2010s become nearly 200+ bucks a bottle.
Then pre covid and post covid become  400 500 per bottle n getting more.

Heng i last time buyed alot 12 17 now can be called more than 12 17 yr

They are still 12 17 yo cos fermentation stop once they are bottled in glass bottles, not every yr +1 yr


Mabok no mabok doesn't mean anything at all, same as cask strength or higher level of alcohol% of a whiskey doesn't determine its quality. Whiskey is meant to be sip in low vol, not gulp down and get drunk. If want to get drunk, go for your preferred beer first then when tipsy, go for cheap and high alcohol% beers to go fully drunk since by then you probably can't and dun care about the taste anymore

Neat, add a little bit of water, on the rocks, warm it up using the chinese "double boil" method
