U can put many accessories (definitely increased cost & may or may not be necessary), but if driver drive recklessly, accident surely happen. Speed back to 50km/hr surely helps in controlling truck ferrying workers behind. Need balance between safety & profit. Coy will rather close if becoming hard to operate.

Quite many ceca drivers with S Passes if u notice road accidents happening nowadays. Many vans, lorry found on fastest lane one expressway when speed definitely higher than 70km/HR.

Politely asking how do you know the lorry drivers are Malaysian Indians?

Spot on. The key operative words here are " but if driver drive recklessly, accident surely happen".

Quote from: Suntan on Apr 03, 2024, 09:33 PMMoi read driver sudden brake. Then the worker flung & hit canopy. No one mentioned the speed. Juz want to blame on boss ferrying workers but tis had been done donkey years liao at slow speed 50km/hr, slowest left lane.

You're right.  Speed was not mentioned.

"THE CASE
Mr Gurusamy was employed by Full House Building Construction at the time of the accident on Aug 29, 2019.

When the lorry driver braked abruptly, he was flung upwards in the back of the lorry and struck by the canopy system."

The tribe has spoken

Interestingly

Company fault has 3 votes
Zheng hu fault has 2 votes
Society's faux has 1 vote
Lorry fault has 1 vote
My vote will go to driver for recklessness

So, I guess company let workers go on their own to the worksite especially for smaller company that has small value job & not much resources.

Last time in 80s can go out in family lorry to go tombs weeping with the entire family with the barang barang, all sit at the back of lorry. Sibeh cooling n satki. No canopy one. Open air type.

Then gahmen outlawed it say safety reason.

Dunno y can allow for construction company thou. Same what if lorry buang, behind put canopy or seat or Smlj also no lan use. Sure mati.

So yah gahmen fault double standards.
