I believe most ppl already know the general gist of it even without watching the video and will agree with it as well

However, sad to say many still blindly follow the perception that your job validates one's existence, being busy at work or OT is a badge of honour, buying branded stuff which one dun use and appreciate but just to show off is ok

Know of ppl who become aimless once retired or ppl who say they will continue to work even if they strike lottery ($8m) despite not happy at work
Ppl will like to brag what they do at work, keep throwing up jargons and whatnot
Rolex watch owners who dun even know the model and movement of their watch

as i get older i am getting more and more tired of work. esp if it has no purpose other than putting food on the table, which then make people work like sheeps and live with no meaning.

that is why i am trying to cut down spending on non important/necessary stuff.

easier to transit to less paying jobs with more purpose and hopefully lesser stress and office drama.

I guess it's a phase of life or awakening once a person hits 30s

For most, work is for money, that's it

Hey I'm also cutting down on unnecessary stuff and find less paying jobs with more purpose and less stress

Other than work and jobs, there are also many other videos on why and how marketing brainwash ppl into consumerism

I had a friend who opened a dessert stall, not too long though. did not do too well.

though i feel that doing well or not has a lot do with expectations.

i am sure a lot of hawkers are contented enough to cover overheads and have about 3k or so in profit. they rather have this and be their own boss than work in a corporate job that pays more. i guess easier for those with lower expectations and less commitments.

We were younger back then so it's a risk we can take. Sadly they dun dare to try.. Dun want to lose their jobs and lose money in thr hawker venture

Being a franchisee is another option but same story... They dun want to try

I alone can't do much be it ideas or finance. So without partners, I also held on to my job

Army fren wanted to open bakery and I'm OK to be sleeping investor but in the end he din open the shop. Now he's a private chef instead

Last one I recall is a fellow watch fren who jio me to open a watch shop. Din happen also. Partly cos I dun think the biz is not feasible

Work to earn money. Survival instinct. No job=no money=unable to survive independently.
