Fairprice is a joke
They are not even offering anything special or different. Selling same stuff but more expensive

f uck this gov. they made it sound like some great gift.

in other countries they have no GST on staples and even offer big discounts on it during certain periods.

It is a sales tactics.
Increase price/cost of living and then give sales/CDC vouchers.

which is why it is important to 'educate' people around us to have critical thinking skills.

this is something that pap don't want us to have so that we can still keep getting hooked by these handyplast help and continue to vote for them.

if they are really committed to helping the people, they sld relook at how much waste is spent on their bloated civil service and make real cuts, esp those high end ministers, high ranking civil servants.

then publish their findings and actions.

even places like National Gallery. a useless, lost making entity that sends their staff overseas for expensive education trips in europe, japan. end up they come back, and nothing improves and the place is still not meeting KPIs. people there coast through their work and just wait for pay day and a better job.

and our GST is being raised to support them!

I was discussing on this with a fren and we wonder why not much politics and financial literacy were taught in school

I dun about national gallery but there are indeed many useless gov agencies in sg. Some are loss making no doubt but they benefit the public eg. national library board

Useless ones will be PA, WSG, national heritage board, tourism board. Seriously I duno what they do. Dun tell me they are working so damn hard behind the scenes and are underappreciated or misunderstood

No way they will want singaporeans to be politcally savvy. Just imagine how many will be educated and inspired to make changes!

Now just one LMW they already cannot tahan. lol

I have a friend working in National Gallery so i know what goes on there. A lot of waste, and they never meet their KPIs, and still making a lost. How many tourists will pay money to visit it?

Tbf, i have worked with Singapore Tourism Board before. I think their role is important as we depend quite a lot on tourism. It is just that there are too many red tapes, and egoistic people who are afraid to take ownership, responsibilities, and think they know better... So it makes working with them very tedious and slow.

I feel that some people working in CS think that they are a cut above those working in the private sectors, esp if you work in a company that supports them.
