Btw although I haven't tried punggol park tenderbest. I have tried Riveria tenderbest. My friend loves the onion bloom. Not sure if punggol park tenderbest have that onion or nots

Wah you been liao?? Currently that space is occupied by tenderfresh? Think it is the 4th or 5th time since it change owner. Did you try the blk 401 kpt food? The rojak is popular

Used to be Bliss cafe > wild oats > ? > tenderfresh

Damn, another place to go after changi broadwalk

Quote from: Arctic on Jan 09, 2025, 06:44 PMThe punggol park I'm referring to is not in Punggol. Instead it's near Buangkok mrt / Blk 401 Hougang Ave 10, It's like a smaller bedok reservoir but better

it's not near that to punggol waterfront, punggol end, coney island, punggol red bridge etc

Punggol end the spooky area with the war memorial plaque is right smack in the middle of a bustling area right?

oh wah ok, i am not familiar with Punggol. i try to arrange go there some day, esp Punggol end. I think i have only been there once long time ago.

Quote from: Keeptrucking on Jan 09, 2025, 07:04 PMbro, one of the beauty of changi village is how it feels at night, at least to me. not many places in singapore has that vibes, i think cos of the tall trees, the colonial houses, and lack of HDBs, and people.

i am short, but quite fit and muscular. quite easy to spot i believe :)

and walk after lunch is too hot.

i plan to eat at Changi Village about 4plus before the peak hour dinner crowd. Then start walking about 5plus so that I can catch both daylight and evening.

the transition between day and night is nice.

actually it is easy to find places to sit at cv hawker centre, the trick is to bring your food to the other hawker centre (muslim food side) which is a lot quieter.

Night scenes always very emo. But have to admit it does look nice. Last yr I was at the chinese restaurant overlooking the walkway that extends into the sea, quite cool

Ah the other side, means have to walk pass the atm machine mid section?

Oh that restaurant has a nice view.

That's why i prefer to go in the evenings, can enjoy both day and night feels. In fact, if you up for cheap thrills, there are two graves at the end of the boardwalk. And I know stories of some of the buildings there.

Yeah, and nowhere in Singapore has the feels of Changi Village. I hope it remains this way. Another place kinda similar is Wessex estate but it is too dark and nothing to do. Seletar area also not bad but that area is even quieter.

Last time I would go to the Seletar Airport area there to look at planes and walk a little. Quite nice area too but way too quiet.

Yes, walk past the ATM side, that hawker centre also sell fruits. I usually will buy two boxes of cut fruits for only $4 and eat while walking.

I haven't been to tenderbest in punggol park, yes tenderbest still there. Sitting by the pond and eat fried chicken should be damn shiok. I only been to tenderbest at riveria lrt. Ho jiak but damn salty.

I didn't even know got wild oats after bliss.
Long time never go punggol park although my place is only 10-15 min walk from my home.

I am going there again.

I tried the 401 fried carrot cake before. On one encounter, they already pre-fry the carrot cake and just reheat and serve to us.

Haven't tried other foods in 401 but I heard it's operating beyond midnight u can go chillax with friends.

my usual route of changi village hawker, to boardwalk, cut through chalet, and continue again. thinking about exploring a couple of spooky places (not going in, just outside only).

don't be shy, say hi if you see a guy of about 173cm with cargo shorts lol.

Cv is a nice place for chilling out. There a few bar  with retro music, across the road just opposite the cheers

yeah, and there is also a relatively new pub too, along the UOB atm row of shophouse, opened by ex naval divers. can see a lot of army stuff in the pub.

don't think they are earning a lot of money. prob a passion project just scraping by every month.
