Perth is quite ex and not many new developments that are cheap. i looked into Perth cause kid might want to study ballet there.

if u want cheap and relatively new houses within range of things, Laverton / Altona / Maribyrnong area in Melbourne is good.

i saw this penthouse for sale 20mins from melb CBD, $480k AUD

our pioneer gen and merdeka benefited from buying perth

u know like dunno half or more are owned by sinkies and msians? esp the northbridge area and nearby UWA, or even murdoch etc

many properties owned by asians

i think about this i feel our gen is cham liao, esp for people like me. at least u were born into an ok wealth family and u married someone well to do

the avg guy not in govt or mnc job since early days or no backing is confirm 100% die

tbh i also quite gian perth or melbourne/sydney but really is bo ko leng one. nv save much since young and nv do high paying jobs and not born with silver spoon

i dont think i can even retire in sg

u saved a lot for sure u were thrifty but u also know ur circumstances and because your circumstances allowed it somehow. i rem u still ok to say u attribute it to a bit of luck

if only child, parents sick, nv work good job........ to save to 600k by the time honestly would be at least 50s and that is if dont start family

if i joined civil service like u back early and really really saved well and hard. i think even now i wouldnt have 600k. it's possible but not easy

ya so i nv deny u saved hard and worked hard but also luck better than many.

i do spend more, but if i were more thrifty, given my family's circumstances i would say i at most have close to 300k now since we are abt same age and u a bit younger.

i do think even if i had been more thrifty very unlikely to reach 600k. dont want to say anything or speculate lah but u believe can liao

oh ya you say got income yield mah, that makes quite a big part of it liao also
