I actually did write in to the hospital to urge them to give him one chance.  Penalise him as necessary but don't destroy his rice bowl unless he repeated the offence.  Obviously any identifiers are redacted from this email that I sent

I do not know Dr Christopher Lee personally though I have read his posts frequently on hardware zone forum.

I disagree with his posts and do agree that it was very unprofessional for him to write such posts.  I make no comments on what punishment he deserves.  At this juncture, I would like to put in a word for him.

While he is wrong to write such posts, it is likely he was encouraged to do so because of the attention given to him in the forum.  Forumers have cautioned him but it is likely he had grown complacent.  Thus we have the situation today.

I know I might be the lonely voice defending him but I would like to urge that when you dish out the punishment due to him, you take into consideration  his intentions, his medium of communication and his ignorance of the law and ethics he must abide by, both offline and online.

I do not disagree he needs to be punished but I would like you to consider the above factors when deciding on his punishments and not give an overly harsh punishment because of the sentiments online.

I am not posting this on your Facebook page because I do not want to be trolled as a result of this post.

I believe in posting responsibly and I am reasonably sure that Dr Lee has learned his lesson.  If he has not, by all means terminate his medical licence the next time he trolls someone. But at this time, perhaps you can consider giving him a second chance.

Glad your encounters with him gave rise to you standing on his side.

I didn't exactly engage too much with him or read his thread to notice those bad post relating to his actual real life profession. Read less, encounter less. So, I only know he handles E&R & ofc expect him as a doc to save lives. Iirc he meted out diagnosis to some of his forumers patients on the hwz. Those who benefited from his free consultations online offline hopefully gave him some good testimonials for a second chance to make good his profession since so much time & money put in by taxpayers to become a doctor helping people.

I do enjoy trolling him as pinoy doc though & usually took those cursings & swearings from him back as juz online banter & fun. Tot pretty harmless but I guess exposing himself as a doc, online netizens may take his words srsly even if he just post in anger or in jest.

As you know, we can only tell how good a person is over time or over a crisis. Doctors are many but how many are good doctors & hopefully this painful incident for him will eventually show him as a good doctor .
