In Parliament yesterday, I tried to explain the situation, and outlined the steps NTUC Enterprise had taken to explore strategic options with several financial and non-financial institutions (both foreign and local). I cited how its preference was to retain a majority stake and local ownership, but unfortunately there was no alignment of interests, and in the end, Allianz's credentials proved the strongest and both sides interests were aligned.
