Once went with ywca to Taman Negara before.  Took the night train to jerantut then spent the night there then took a small motorised Sampan to the resort

Had a night walk a lot of leeches stuck to our legs.  Then the guide told us it's ok just use axe oil and drip it on the leeches and they will drop out.  It worked.  He kept warning us not to pull them out.

And best is we don't even feel the leeches on us.  Only when we looked in the moonlight then we can see something then with torch lights we can see them better and they were so big , probably cos they were drinking our blood.  Most of us put axe oil but some more daring ones will use a lighter and strike a flame and burn the leeches off
