Should Singapore mandate that everyone is trained in class 3 and abolish class 3A?

I personally feel class 3 is safer and better for learner drivers.  After they pass out it doesn't matter what car they drive. They have already learned all they need to know about gear changing and such and if they go overseas, there is no issue on them renting manual or auto cars

default

i forgot how to drive alr since cars so ex
Only money is real

No need. More options better for all drivers especially for sinkies that need a car to commute. Moi got class 3 but used to auto liao.

We had double standard here. It is terrible when double standard is being applied for foreigners with international driving licence working in Singapore and driving everyday.
Many are bad drivers regardless of the vehicle they drive or which country they come from or their occupations but they have double standard and we should not allow double standard.

It's a good foundation. Like we have calculators but we still teach people to count 1+1

I miss driving manual cars. Might rent one when i go overseas next time.

No guessing game

AcTually person with class 3 license just passed  might not be able to accustom and drive auto cars well immediately

Actually true.  I used to drive a manual (Hyundai accent) then when I went to drive an auto car, I couldn't move the car initially.  Kept jerking.  Then I realised it's an auto car and my instinct was left leg press the clutch to get ready to move but cos it was an auto I was jamming the foot break while trying to move off

But after a very short while it's ok.

When driving auto and switching to manual it took much longer to get used to it.  Manual to auto it's not too bad

Happen to me too. My license is class 3 pass then drive auto keep use both legs to operate instinctively
Eg. Left leg step brake pedal right leg accelerator. Quite dangerous actually

If there are buyers there will be sellers.  There are bread and butter manual cars still but the SE tell me it's all specially indented for driving schools.  But if there is a demand, maybe they can sell to public also
