More polytechnic students in their final year of studies can enlist a year earlier than their peers and use their full-time National Service to fulfil their final-year internship requirement for their diplomas. This is among new initiatives by the defence ministry for servicemen to realise their academic aspirations, put their learning into practice, and contribute even better to the Armed Forces. Foreigners can come in and get PR. Their descendants, if girl apply for SGC. If boy, they get to decide if they want their kid to do NS or not, depending on how invested they are. As a born Sinkie male, u got no choice.
