Because posters in the thread only focus on the person who did the fishing and butchering. Anything karma related must be 100% bad. When somebody did something good, nobody will post and comment that it's the persons good karma. Ex. When someone strikes lottery, hardly anyone will say it's his good karma. Almost everyone will say he's lucky. But if a person dies early because he committed a crime, most ppl will say it's his karma and not say he's unlucky or unfortunate. Irony much.

I find this equally as insensitive as the korean dj who cosplay and perform as a monk. What does the sq incident got to do with Vesak Day? Double standards?

In all seriousness, it's hard to avoid killing in this modern world. Almost everything we use involves killing. For example, Building hdb flats involves destruction of natural habitats. Even the food we eat, someone has to do the killing for us. So I don't think any human being deserves to die earlier.
