I stay quite near but it was my first time there.
Had the fried beehoon (not the popular stall) and the corner wonton mee.
Both were disappointing. And I thought they sld be better as it is in the heartlands and prepared by locals.
What do you recommend?

i never felt the wanton mee was good leh
anyway me and daryl also eat the same shredded chicken noodle stall nxt to the wanton mee
i think the corner near to the tenderfresh, the soy sauce chicken better than many famous stalls leh
the famous stalls here - duck rice - michelin and long queue but i no like. the aunty is lj attitude one, but their duck rice is cheap but i rly dont like. they claim to be teochew but more like hokkien version
the spinach soup also got michelin but i see no one queue
the other michelin is the la jiao ban mian. i think is okok only but the owners are friendly
better stalls i feel are hokkien mee, western food, chicken rice (the other corner facing the sushi shop), got 1 malay stall the mee soto not bad........ the pork trotter rice actually i like it a lot
not too bad stalls i think the mushroom bak chor mee and the shredded chicken noodle stall, soup stall, cantonese soup stall
otherwise is the roasted meats stall at the kopitiam that one i feel quite good but also up price liao

that one is just old school stall... it's just as old as that wanton mee stall or thereabouts
if not wrong shd be 1976 or 1978 roughly same age as daryl
last time my mum always patronize them, since we moved here in 1985
tbh the noodle is just affordable and easy on the stomach........ traditional old taste, nothing spectacular but aunty is nice and friendly
the wanton mee nxt to it, always long queue but maybe coz i buy back, then i feel nothing spectacular leh

The gov is very proud to announce that they had sent these workers for courses, yet nothing had changed on the ground.
Now the cleaners just stationed themselves at the tray collection points to collect the tray for washing. No one is wiping anymore.
