do you think qin mausoleum has large amount of mercury?

Yes — very likely!

Ancient records, especially Sima Qian's historical text "Records of the Grand Historian" (Shiji), describe that Emperor Qin Shi Huang's underground mausoleum contains rivers and seas of flowing mercury designed to mimic the geography of China.

Modern science backs this up:
   •   Soil tests and remote sensing around the unexcavated tomb mound show unusually high concentrations of mercury.
   •   Mercury levels measured in the area are much higher than normal background levels — strongly suggesting large deposits underground.

However, no one has physically dug into the main burial chamber yet, mainly because:
   •   Excavation risks damaging delicate, ancient structures.
   •   We currently lack technology to fully excavate without destroying priceless artifacts or triggering chemical damage (like exposure to air or water).

So while we cannot be 100% sure without digging, both historical records and modern scientific readings point toward a very large amount of mercury inside.
