i think is the interface and lack of direction and lack of promotion

all 3 equally lacking which is causing this........

if not interesting = no users

previously the direction is on money. i think we still can work on this, but it's the same thing whether there is long term advantages of keeping this

it needs very concerted efforts to revamp the site

otherwise if simply keep it as forum, there needs to be something special to draw people in. which is hard or nearly impossible. What is it on hwz that is not here? There is still interest in IT stuff like computing ,networking, laptops, hardware whatever and software.

Then they already got more funds and first mover advantage. Problem is, it's definitely not that profitable but enough to sustain.

this can be like field experts..... say in gold trading, collecting cards traders etc

but these field experts want to be featured on famous websites, which means need to shell out more money to do up the interface etc

it's a chicken and egg thing. u want the website to be famous u need famous people. but famous people only want to be on famous websites

(replace famous with good or expert also can)

u see i never maintain the events part of it.

Simply put theres too many things needed to be done. I need people and I need funds.

To simplify it, we just keep to a forum, but it will never grow. It will just be me and some of you shelling out the funds to maintain a place for us to talk cock

but it's not even growing

however, can invest in using vbulletin or the what xenforo which HWZ is using for a better interface

This place is really dying.......... theres only like maybe 10-20 of us here who are more active users. Only 10 really participating

Interface definitely needs changing lah. but it really depends on whether you all are in this with me. otherwise if just run as a side forum means my hundreds or thousands every year just pour into drain

boils down to the number of active users. edmw has many user base interaction between each other is fast.
is the interesting interaction between users and it is fast

interface is an issue. and i think alot of people still do not know this forum.

so prob need to fix the interface first, then when people visit the site they will be more enticed to stay on.

with better interface, more people will be staying and hopefully contributing, which then leads to a more vibrant forum.

Didn't notice alot of come and go, isn't it mostly same people everyday nowadays?
