Title: Share your quiet spot in Singapore?
Post by: Keeptrucking on Apr 09, 2024, 10:55 AM
a relatively less popular place where you go to take walks or just chill once in a while.

for me it would be Labrador Park, Changi area (I like the hawker centre and the boardwalk) and the Fort Canning area (esp around Peranakan museum).

what's yours? of course, other than home lol

TS can try enabling village. Even weekends also no one in sight. Bring along mosquito repellents. Has an active SG gym there, quite underutilized.

Depends on u want how quiet nia. And what u plan to do, sit, lie around quite dirty lor. And these dark quiet places not safe esp for girls also

Further down from the sailing club. It is like changi village is one end, in the middle is sailing club, and Changi Cove is the other end.

actually, it is walkable. not that far from one end to the other.

but the whole area feels creepy at night.

No impression, maybe been before but duno it's that area

Ever since the that particular section of the boardwalk is blocked/reno, I din walk that far liao. Cos need to walk along the road then kinda meaningless already

I walked the other direction towards Changi bay and ecp but stopped just before reaching Changi bay cos there nothing also. Later I died of thirst there haha

Last time I used to rent bicycle from ecp then cycle to Changi and back. My last cycle in 2019 is from ecp to downtown east, return the bicycle there since same bicycle operator.

yeah walk halfway must walk out to the main road then cut back in through the chalets. actually the main road also nice to walk cos of the big trees. the road is pretty quiet too. can also see one chalet along the road where two girls died.

Can understand why gov build those but I think it's excessive. They are not meant for sinkies. Dun tell me. About trickle down effect bs

Also, many trees are removed from neighbourhoods. There was a path that was lined with trees in my estate, totally shaded but now that path is hot like hell. The plant 1 mil trees also quite dubious. Duno is saplings or trees and who is counting?!
