With jobs getting harder to get and rising property prices and cost of living inflation, I am sure many young people are waking up to realty of the ills of 0ne party rule.

My older boy 20 cannot vote. Dunno who he will vote for.

My younger now reading LKY's book From 3rd world to first, maybe will still vote PAP next time.

But me and hubby will try to convince them that Absolute power may lead to absolute corruption. A one third opposition in parliament to deny policies that are questionable is very important. Cannot ownself check ownself. Drs also now cannot do that.

well done. good to see people who are relatively comfortable in life seeing the flaws of the current pap.

these ownself check ownself, and group think, have made pap very bad for the past two decades.

i also encouraging my nieces to have a critical mind, and not just accept whatever pap or the mainstream media feed them.

I was very much against PWP of 6.9 mil people initially, though now I benefit from it in terms of rising property value but I still think population ponzi is not the way to go. Already not enough jobs for our people still wanna bring in more immigrants? Sg is so small, risks of overcrowding and catastrophic disease outbreaks and perhaps a manmade earthquake in future are in my view real risks.

rising property is good for those who are in the game but isn't it like a time bomb? how much will the future generations need to pay for a house?

of course, private property cannot control but HDB pricing is crazy now.

and with the rich people coming in to drive up the prices it will create a huge rich-poor divide. very unhealthy for the society.

Agree. Not sustainable in the long run.

Hope after 6.9 mil they don't aim higher.
