Title: I think the food business is indeed toughest business to be done in Singapore

because really too many good food around for a relatively small population with very little margins due to competition, rent, salaries

this one the fei fei wanton mee is like everywhr my house downstairs also make quite good one. not joking

then bendemeer also got and got 1 special shop 88 roast meat also really very good even recommended on hwz

chicken rice everywhr also can get decent ones

No matter how good there are people won't travel all the way for food. I'm one of them

i think even travel u wont do so everyday right? at most once per week

the money mainly comes from regulars so have to be people living or working near the store

since it's so hard to get fucked up food in sg right, compared to any other country esp those ang mor countries

basically the bar is set a lot higher

unless it's very specific food else if generic ones like fishball noodles, wtm, chicken rice all these will have near ur place

im talking about less common food like rojak (the one at tpy is too damn sweet, altho all rank it top few), popiah (closed liao), curry puff (this one is quite good bah) - but the marine parade one i rank it same or higher

i nv eat the marine parade one super long liao. since my father bought it in around 1990s or 2000s

not sure if still around

Will only travel if really have craving but furtherest i go is plq beg only there got carls jr the rest hawker food don't think i will travel to the west or even Central

Definitely, 敢 earn the landlords/social enterprise/middleman for squeezing the fnb tenants/stallholders.

Prawn mee not worth it anymore.
Damn expensive now for that few half prawns and pork ribs nia.

i nv eat for at least 10 yrs or close to that i believe. last time is a MLM friend ask me go eat... after that i cant rem if i got eat or not, maybe once

Used to be my 2nd favorite after the marina parade one.

Recently price up liao lesser

working condition very tough too. small working space, hot and must be on your feet.

at least in an office, got aircon and can still go to supermarket or mall to walk during lunch.

wah bo jio! i was there yesterday too but did not eat from that duck stall. i ate the wonton mee next row.

what's so nice about the duck place? always see long queue.

Already the rental will make you lose money before you build your regular customer base. Never mind you need to sink in cost of ingredients & you start with zero salary.

Just teochew style of braised duck lo.

Some like sticky glue gravy type
Some like watery type

I just so happen to go there niah when I decided to just eat duck rice yesterday

Too late to go tekka by the time i gian eat.
