In Buddhism it's called fixed karma (定业）. For example, if you are supposed to marry to a karmic debtor/karmic creditor at a specific age, it will happen due to the fixed karma that needs to be cleared in this lifetime.

Abt the period my mum passed got many unexplanable things tbh.
Like my laptop suddenly crashed the moment her vitals crashed then drs called. At first she was doing ok and well.
Then i almost won 4d. A v big sum. Almost coz i was begging heavens. In the end missed by 1 num maybe not fated.
Then many times i was slping in hosp many things happened but like got things protecting me
Then when im in hosp at night my mum will be stable else will have things happen and will kena emergency call
After shes gone i owed my aunts $ then i won some toto money sufficient to pay them back.
Sometimes i dont understand life

No lol, I'm more lazy than devout. Karma isn't straightforward like "throwing a ball against the wall will hit me head-on." The ball could hit me on my balls or body, or I could dodge it as it bounces back. And it gets very complicated when it involves other people. If say I fall sick, then it's a personal karmic obstacle and it's easier to clear 消. If the karma is entangled with other people then it's a big headache. This is how relationships are formed and broken.

For other things like money, r/s etc, you can actually make an effort to go get it
