Disagree. dun count on anyone (boss/govt) except for ownself. In reality, No one is truly self-made. If govt don't support what you do, it will be very hard for you to succeed if you're in the opposing camp. If boss don't recognise your efforts, you also won't get promoted/get pay raise.
