Currently I'm using a amazfit smart watch and xiaomi smart weighing scale, both connected to the same app - Zepp life
However, my smart watch died so I ordered a xiaomi smart watch which is not able to connect to Zepp life, only to mi fitness app. Weighing scale not able to sync with mi fitness
So now weighing scale to one app and smart watch to another app
First world problem
Xiaomi ecosystem problem

Then I found out even the newer weighing scale can only sync with Mi Home app and not Mi Fitness app. Weird shit

same as apple lor. honestly all these trying to trap u within their ecosystem
#1 is apple, nxt is samsung, then is xiaomi, market share also similar
u see microsoft also want to trap u one, it's just a business decision....... coz u buy in liao means hard for u to change
but EDMW china haters will say xiaomi is evil blah blah, u know the same few
I thot apple is more seamless? 1 app to rule them all and all their devices can sync with one another?
Xiaomi in this case is 1 app for 1 device is which a hassle which is more like deterring ppl from buying xiaomi

Definitely. Most ppl use Chrome Browser. Android users mostly use Google Play to download and install apps. Some apps, such as banking and singpass, require a Google certified Android OS to load. Android is not as open as it was these days.
Google is smart to allow app side-loading. This offers an illusion of choice to Android users when in reality Google is anti- competitive with their services. Ex. Google Play Protect
