After trying out part time jobs, I think maximum of 4 working days per week is best. That leaves me 3 days of rest days to catch up with family and friends.
5 work days per week, hardly have any time for me-time after accompanying family and friends.
3 work days per week is the sweet spot for me.
Having some money to spend while having good amount of time to concentrate on my hobbies if I have any. The hobbies if can earn money is best. This is like semi-retirement liao.
No work got money drop down is best. Like the ASK who own hand me down properties
Like the temple ASKs and shophouse ASK.
Never worked a day

think e answer depends on job nature industry nature and structure
Eg construction or maritime we used to hv 6-6.5 days
Then wlb shrank it to 5.5 in 200x
Then schools n gov farther implemented 5 day w wk so some of us practice 5. +1/2 rotation between teammates alws hv 2 on duty
Some fully down to 5 day
Then uk or eu started compressed work week meaning work 4 days longer extended hrs and 5th day u hv rotating staff on vs off staff
For emergency or retail or hospitality or port sv we d almost need to have on 24/7/365 mybfd when it comes to life death critical situation
But as a human pov , I think ideal as lazy fellow 4 days would be great if non busy or slow days
5-5.25 days is good for super busy rush project no end days
5.5-6.5 I ll only do if there is an emergency cropping up once in a blue moon kinda thing which is hardly ever got such thg for most work I ve done .. really no time to think / plan or run errands or serve loved ones only suffice for rest n run rest and run etc
i tell u many in civil service best.
they previously worked 5.5 days. when it became 5 day work week, their leaves stayed at 28 days
then covid become 2 days wfh, some even wfh most days.......... leaves still 28 days. then some max out medical appts, mc and whatever leaves they can find
28 + 14 + maybe another 12-18 med appts....... then maybe + some can even get hospitalization (but that one quite serious liao most likely is real)
so if dont count hospitalization = 28 + 14 (MC) + 12-18 med appts = 54-60 days not working per year + 11 days public holidays = 65 to 71 days not working, some will spam on those days they need to come back to office
oh ya havent count parent care leave, then maybe even study leave, child care leave
so if 1 year 52 weeks come back only a few days per week and then u will see they come back less than half of that time
new leave scheme much lesser at 18 days only then + 1 more day after dunno 3 or 5 yrs

that s a noble profession to be in... n healthcare is a more intensive one than other services cos ppl come to healthcare places when they need medical attn
Salute and Jiayou !!
12 hr shift also quite strenuous.. it means u r hardworking n fit
Four days work week is great. Three days would be perfect.
Think about it. Our time on earth is limited. But we spend five days out of seven days working. But there is so much of the world to see, so much of life to experience and most importantly so much more you can do with your loved ones as we all hv limited time.
It is sad and pathetic. The person who came with 5 or 6 days work week sld be shot.

Last time don even hv leave .. it's got work got pay no work no pay byeee kinda thg
Provisions shops let ppl otang $ till they take their pay by end of week or end of fortnight back then
If i have passion over something i can work 5 Days 12 hrs plus additional ot during free time. No joke. I will place that thing priority over anything else
Life is short..so I think out of 7 days a week, we shouldn't work more than half
Therefore I voted for 3 work days..
CheerS!!!😉

Zehzeh I am not noble cos I am not giving free healthcare services. Noble or not depends on the person mindset when working, or dealing own interpersonal relationship. Cos within healthcare also many cb lang.

Hi trucking kor. How many more years of 5 days work week u planning to continue? Given your target financial aim.
Fully agree with your statements. Time is really precious. I cannot imagine people are imposed 5.5days of work in certain settings. No family life liao. The rest of 1.5 days all went into sleeping to recover and get ready for the next week's job.
Become a work machine liao.
That is how the elites and gov wished we can do, sacrifice our time for and youth for the bit of money that we receiving, while they are enjoying the results of our hardwork.

Next week gonna start trying out 15hours job, short term freelance job. If it's quite sustainable, I will be able to work just 3 days a week.

tbh bro i am not sure given how uncertain times are these days? i would love to be able to retire at 55 or even earlier. Prob not fully just take up a relatively simple part-time job to pass time and get a bit of pocket money.
if possible i would like to spend more time on volunteer work and of course travelling.

true, makes sense. people of older days were made of tougher stuff. but i believe we will see 4 days work week in our lifetime.
i think the younger folks will be pushing for it.

How many ppl can see we sacrifice more than half our time & youth for juz a small sum while they r doing half the work getting more than they should ? It's a scary pyramid. All feed the top & the top has no intention to make the pyramid flatter.

Yes lor. So tang ping wan sui :s12:
But I can't tangping
By the time we saved enough money for spending, our energy and youth already gone. That's why many ppl start to go around travel at 40s while they can still walk.
3 work day a week not exceeding 11 hours sounds good but it will nv happen
4 work day 10 hours each day maybe got slim chance
SME bosses want to see u do 8 hours a day and then the rest is free ot hours 6 days a week. and not forgetting 24/7 as in when they msg u they expect u a immediate reply
