Anyone knows the reason why the initial planning is lifts do not stop at every floor ?
I am referring to those existing lift shafts which was built together with the HDB flats, they were built from ground floor all the way to the top, but only will stop at certain floors and not every floor. What made HDB decide not to have the lifts to stop at every floor back then ?
Too expensive?
Cut costs.

let supplier fujitec earn $$$
:flash:
Cut cost & pass the savings to HDB lessors at public housing price, like $8k to $10k per 3 room flat.
cos despite the glorifying and god like status of lky and his lackeys
they lack the foresight to see how we will end up an aging nation
but when u all say "cut cost" or "cost"
isnt it just cut an opening on every floor so that the lift can stop and open door on every floor ?
or u all mean having the lift stopping at 3 floors (for eg. ground, 6th, 11th) is somehow cheaper than having it stopping on every floor ?
i dun get it. whats the logic behind ?

The cost behind programming the lift to stop at every floor plus lift landing. Just moi guess.
